APOLLO FITTER SHORTLISTED FOR WOMEN INTO CONSTRUCTION AWARD

27 year old Knowsley Housing Trust tenant, Hayley Mercer was shortlisted for the Women In Construction 2009 Awards under the Best Apprentice / New Starter over 25 category. Hayley always dreamed of being a gas fitter and through the Fusion21 Skills Training Centre she gained the opportunity to join Apollo Heating. Since starting with the company, she has impressed all with her positivity, enthusiasm and commitment. Her manager Nigel Tucker said “I wish I had a whole team of Hayleys”.

APOLLO LAUNCH RESIDENT GROUP

Apollo Heating today announced plans to launch their own Residents Group. Whilst Social Housing Providers have long had their own resident associations, contractors and service providers have not ventured into this area until the gas servicing and heating contractor, based in Manchester launched their scheme.

The idea, the brainchild of Apollo Managing Director Shaun Maclean, will see residents from across Apollo's client base attend meetings where they will listen to guest speakers as well as have the opportunity to compare the service they receive from the contractor.

The response from residents and clients to the idea has been extremely positive and the first events are scheduled to be held in Liverpool and Manchester in June.

Shaun Maclean said, "Apollo has always looked at putting the customer first and this is a practical demonstration of helping empower the residents as well as showing our commitment to acting upon the views of our customers".
